About Agathoclis Beckmann
Agathoclis Beckmann was set up as a landscape practice in 1992. Registered with the Landscape Institute and based in Warburton, Cheshire, the practice undertakes a wide range of works in the UK and in Greece, in both the private and public sectors.
We believe that aesthetically pleasing, well-executed and cost-effective design is critically important. The need to create and conserve a positive sense of identity, to make buildings – and particularly the spaces between them – reflect both the peculiarities of the local landscape and the aspirations of people, has never been so great. We seek to confront these issues and produce well-considered, innovative responses to them.
Agathoclis Beckmann regularly work as members of a multi-disciplinary design team in the UK and Greece.
Landscape Architecture Services
Leisure and Historic Services
Agathoclis Beckmann have carried out design and conservation of historic landscapes in both the U.K. and in Greece. These works vary from domestic properties to private estates in both urban and rural situations.
Health and Education Services
We have carried out design works to many hospital sites as well as school and nursery sites. As members of the organisation Learning Through Landscapes, we are keen to promote the external environment as a learning tool as well as an area for play. In hospital sites, we strongly support the concept of therapeutic landscapes for patient health and well-being.
Commercial, Residential and Industrial Services
Landscape Character Assessements / Visual Impact and Landscape Management
Agathoclis Beckmann have carried out Landscape Character Assessments and Visual Impact Assessments in the U.K. for both Local Authorities and for Private Clients.
Domestic and Garden Design Services
We believe that the domestic garden is a unique form of self-expression but that almost everyone needs professional advice at some time.
